Visiting Lake Havasu, you know there are lots of things to do, but ultimately you know that all of the fun really happens on the water. Sure, the nightlife is fabulous, but when the sun begins to shine and the temperature rises, there is nothing better than to find some Lake Havasu boat rentals.
Grab your waterski; or maybe you are wake boarding. How about just grabbing a big floatie. All of these water toys need a great boat for pulling. Imagine jumping into a boat, cranking up the tunes, and see how long you can stay holding the rope before the driver throws you off! Lake Havasu is large enough that you could turn circles for hours and hours and never have to dodge anyone else.
If you are just learning to wake board or water ski, try getting on the lake early in the morning or later in the evening. Then the water is smooth like glass and you can get the feel for fun. Practice for a bit and then get ready to play for the rest of the day. Keep eyes out for the experts doing tricks on their boards behind their boats too.
Feeling tired and want to relax for a bit? Head down the river a bit and find the sandbar. Imagine motoring down the river when all of a sudden you seen hundreds of boats all anchored on one sand bar. People are walking around meeting and saying hello. Music is playing. Frisbees and footballs are flying and the girls and guys are dancing. The sandbar at Lake Havasu down the Colorado River is a great place to spend the afternoon and meet new friends.
After hanging out at the sandbar for a while, why don’t you continue down the Colorado River until you get to the bridge? There you will find a place to gas up your boat and you can pull out the board and ski’s again and play under the bridge. You can also find great places to eat along the river and restock the ice chest. Just the trip getting there is absolutely beautiful. As you go down the river you will see beautiful red cliffs that will certainly take your breath away.
Another great trip to take in your Lake Havasu boat rental is back up the river, through the lake, and under the London Bridge. That’s right – the London Bridge is actually in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. This is the actual bridge that spanned the River Thames in London, England until it became too frail for the modern traffic of London. Robert McCulloch, the founder of Lake Havasu and the chairman of McCulloch Oil Corporation bought the bridge as a tourist attraction. When the bridge was dismantled in London, each piece was numbered and then shipped to America. The reconstruction took over three years to complete.
A popular activity is to drive your boat under the London Bridge and wave to all the people in boats parked along the strip. It is just like cruising, but in a boat! Just like the sandbar, you will encounter many people with music and dancing and a very cheery atmosphere.
Visiting Lake Havasu City is a wonderful vacation idea, but make sure that you check out Lake Havasu boat rentals. You want to make sure that you experience everything on land and off. A fantastic place to rent from is Life’s a Beach Power Sport Rentals. Their staff is ultra-friendly and helpful, their boats are clean and well maintained, and the drop in spot is right at their back door. Rent from them and you will be in the water in no time!
